Elements of measuring installations

Home 9 Offer 9 Elements of measuring installations

The thread of a manometer or thermometer does not always fit directly into the installation fitting. That is why there are connecting elements – reducers, plugs, and small accessories that fit the connections and allow the measuring instrument to be mounted correctly. At REM we manufacture them as a complement to the fittings, thermometers, and siphon tubes, in the typical G1/2″ and M20x1.5 measuring threads.

Reductions

A reducer is a fitting with two different threads – one internal and one external – that connects elements with different connections. In practice, it allows you to connect a manometer or thermometer with a different thread than the installation hose. We manufacture combinations such as:

M20x1.5GW G1/2"GZ

G1/2"GW M20x1,5GZ

M12x1.5GW G1/4"GZ

G1/4"GW M12x1,5GZ

Other connections on request

Mufy

The fitting connects two elements with an internal thread on both sides. It is used when two ends with an external thread need to be connected or when the connection needs to be extended. Available combinations:

G1/2" G1/2"

M20x1,5 G1/2"

M20x1,5 M20x1,5

others on order

Joining elements

We manufacture the remaining small connecting fittings upon request, for a specific installation and connection. If you need an item that is not listed – please write, we are most often able to manufacture it.

Thread markings

For ease of selection: GW – internal thread, GZ – external thread. When specifying the connection, it is advisable to specify both ends (e.g., M20x1.5GW \ G1/2″GZ).

Don’t know how to match the device’s thread to the installation? Write to us – we’ll select a reducer or a hose and prepare a quote.

What is the purpose of a thermal protection shield?

It protects the temperature sensor from the process medium and allows the thermometer to be replaced without having to seal the installation.

How to choose the length of the thermometer cover?

The length is selected according to the depth of the installation and the thickness of the insulation, so that the end of the sensor reaches into the medium flow. Available lengths are R50-R500 mm.

What material are the thermometric covers made of?

Standardly made of stainless steel. Acid-resistant versions are used for aggressive media.
